FLIGHT CLUB FLOW - VINYASA + HANDSTAND TRAINING

Location: CounterBalance Gym, 2102 Colorado Blvd Rear Entrance, Los Angeles CA 90041
$55. Discount with purchase of both sessions
You asked: I listened = more flow!
This session will be a unique combination of handstand conditioning, functional mobility focused on the angles necessary to get upside down, and creative vinyasa sequencing to integrate playful exploration. Wrist extension, shoulder flexion and hip flexion are our focus - learn your strengths + limitations with these angles as they relate to your inversion practice. We’ll break apart the pieces of the whole (handstand), and filter new patterns into flowstates.
Expect a vinyasa experience with plenty of opportunities to practice fun hand balancing shapes. Time-permitting, optional assists will be provided to those interested. Walk away with new tools to increase proprioception + understanding of weight-shifting/counterbalancing in everything from crow to straddle handstand, as well as the confidence needed to FLY in 2026!
*I’ve been coaching handstands for over 12 years to adult practitioners. This session is geared toward beginner/intermediate inverters, but there will be gems for seasoned inversion athletes as well.
A strong plank + no current wrist injuries are prerequisites. Vinyasa yoga experience suggested. Handstand experience not necessary.
ISOLATE TO INTEGRATE - MOBILITY WORKSHOP
SUNDAY FEBRUARY 22nd, 3:00-4:30pm
Location: CounterBalance Gym, 2102 Colorado Blvd Rear Entrance, Los Angeles CA 90041
$50. Discount with purchase of both sessions
This workshop format has been a student favorite everywhere from LA to Nashville to Costa Rica! Our main focus in this session will be spine, shoulders + hips, but we’ll also touch on neck, knees + ankles. Learn how to rotate your spine and hips in isolation, with and without pelvic compensation. Gain new understanding of how the shoulder joint moves in relation to the shoulderblades, and how this can remove neck tension. We’ll isolate joint spaces with isometric + eccentric exercises, then integrate with fluid mini-flows that thread concepts together. Alleviate stiffness, increase range of motion + strengthen connective tissues. Functional mobility can often be the missing link to holistic movement training, to mitigate injury, reduce recovery time, and support other modalities as cross-training. Fill your toolbox with new elements that foster better overall movement quality for any sport/activity, or to simply meet life’s demands with less aches + pains.
Yoga experience not necessary. Mobility training meets every body where its at; however, due to the space + props for this session, being able to sit on the ground with a fair amount of comfort is a prerequisite.
